It is time to serve kids once again . . . .
The dates are now set for the 2008 Radiothon for Rady Children's Hospital. Please set aside March 5-7, 2008 for this 7th annual event.

We have had great success in the past raising significant funds for the hospital by "manning" the phones during this event. This year will be no different - with one twist - - we will be on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this year with no weekend shifts.

Partnered with the Clear Channel radio stations - spreading the Rady Children's Hospital message - we are the "ears" and "hands" of this project as we accept the pledges over the phones. It is always a blessing to speak with folks as they call in with their pledges.

So . . I will need your help in filling our shifts during these three weekdays.

However . . I am very excited since we will have SIX (6) "Drive Times" (morning and evening commutes) on these days - which have been very, very successful in reaching folks in the past years.

The stations this year are KOGO, US 95.7, Channel 933 and STAR 94.1. Jeff & Jer; Tony & Kris; Mike O'Brian, AJ's Playhouse are some of the radio celebs we will work with. They will be broadcasting LIVE from the hospital each day; with some feeds from the studios also.

Please use the attached forms - in WORD or .pdf - to register your clubs for this service project. (I need ONE form per volunteer please.) I ask that you send this form to ALL of your clubs and Kiwanians; announce the event at your DCMs and club meetings; and spread the word of the need for volunteers.

In addition, please send this info off to your KEY Club, Circle K and Kiwins LTGs.

Remember . . it is first-come; first served . . so FAX or email me the forms. My contact info is on the form and is shown below for your use. I need to have the form filled out - - not just an email - so scan it if you are responding via the internet.

We will also be announcing some fundraising activities for clubs as we approach these dates for an even greater impact this year; so watch for these ideas via email.

We are looking forward to a great year helping to raise funds for the hospital.

Thanks for being Kiwanians . . and thanks in advance for your assistance with this great project.
